ARTU / Collaboration with Lund
In 2023, Cantene launched a doctoral fellowship at Lund University aimed at continuing the research project on refining the MZ model for risk analysis inside road tunnels.
R&D with Lund University began in 2018 and covers two areas: crowd dynamics and risk analysis in tunnels.
Risk analysis for road tunnels is an increasingly strategic activity in the PFTE (technical-economic feasibility project) phase because it allows weighing the effectiveness of design alternatives (plant-civil) by means of quantitative measurement of social risk in accordance with the 2004 EU Directive.
Risk analysis enables to combine “sustainability” in choosing the design solution with the “safety” of users.
